The Tab S3 is currently the most expensive Samsung Galaxy on the market. It can do just about everything an iPad can do at a lower cost. It comes with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, a quad-core 2.15 GHz + 1.6 GHz processor and 4 GB of RAM, which allows it to perform smoothly even when running multiple applications. It comes with a beautiful all-glass design and you can get it with either 32 or 128 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB. The 9.7-inch super AMOLED display is plenty big enough to enjoy your favorite content now and ready to handle HDR content when it’s ready to hit tablets in the future. The front and rear cameras take decent pictures as they offer 5 and 13 MP resolution respectively. The S Pen is included with the Tab S3 in case you like to send handwritten notes or instructions. The Tab S3 receives great feedback from experts and users. The most popular complaints are related to the price, the fingerprint sensor not always working appropriately and the fact that it’s not compatible with Adobe Flash player.

  • Easy to use
  • Works well with RAM-heavy tasks
  • Bright screen

Cons

You can purchase the Tab E 9.6 with either 8 or 16 GB of internal storage and both models can be expanded out to an additional 128 GB. The battery can last up to 12 hours, so you shouldn’t have any problems taking your tablet with you on the road. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" Inch Tablet (32GB Black Wi-Fi) SM-T580 -...
  • A vibrant 10.1" high-resolution screen makes everything come to life.
  • Keep powered up and on the go with a long-lasting battery and a speedy 1.6 GHz exynos 7870 octa-core Processor.
  • A microSD card expands your memory from 16GB up to an additional 200GB (microSD card sold separately)

The Tab A 10.1 is a mid-size tablet from Samsung that offers good speed and performance at a lower price point. Some would simply call it sturdy because it’s slightly thicker and heavier than some of the other models, but it’s not too heavy to where it’s problematic. The design isn’t going to win any awards, but that’s fine for tablet in this price range. The 10.1-inch screen is one of the largest offered by Samsung and it displays relatively crisp images. It runs on Android’s 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has a 1.6 GB Exynos octa-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. All apps run smoothly, and you can multitask with no problems. You can purchase it with either 16 or 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded using the microSD slot. The battery can last up to 13 hours, so you should have no problems binging on your favorite TV shows for hours at a time. It comes with front and rear cameras offering 2 and 8 MP respectively, but the pictures are only decent.

A slimmer tablet than the Tab A 10.1, the Tab S2 is the most affordable model in Samsung’s S line. Samsung initially created this tablet to compete with the iPad, and it did just that, offering similar performance as the iPad for less. You can purchase it with an either an 8 or 9.7-inch super AMOLED screen that delivers high-quality images. With a 1.3 GHz Octa-core processor and 3 GB of RAM, you can expect solid performance regardless of the circumstance. You also have the option of buying it with 32 or 64 GB of internal storage that can be taken up to 128 GB with a microSD card. At 12 hours, the battery life is pretty good, so you don’t have to carry around your power cord. The S2 comes with Quick Connect, which allows you to easily share what’s on your screen to your Samsung Smart TV. The fingerprint sensor is also a nice upgrade over most of the other Samsung models. The front camera offers 2.1 MP resolution and the rear camera offers 8 MP, but don’t’ expect either of them take excellent pictures.

It comes with an integrated bumper that keeps it protected against falls, drops, throws and other forms of device abuse. The parental controls on the device allow you to limit what your little ones can watch and how long they can watch. The 9-hour battery life, though not earth-shattering, is good enough to keep your kids engaged for long periods of time. It comes with over 20 kid-friendly applications pre-installed that makes it easy for kids to get started with exploring and learning on their own. Content covering STEM, the common core curriculum and other topics are all available for free for the first three months and then for a fee thereafter. Final Thoughts

Samsung does a great job of providing a range of offerings for their Galaxy line of tablets. Unlike other brands, they’ve chosen to give their customers the opportunity to pick from a variety of models based on their budget and preference of features and performance. Customers have the option of choosing between a Galaxy S3 with all the bells and whistles and a Tab E, which offers less performance but at a much lower cost.

With that said, we believe the S3 is the best overall Galaxy tablet for adults. Its performance is right in line with the very best tablets, not just those from Samsung. With features such as it being HDR-ready, the S3 is ready for the newer types of content that may come in the future. Before making a decision, however, be sure you understand the features offered by each model and ensure that they align with your needs. If you’re going to be traveling a lot, then the sturdier Tab A 10.1 may be able to withstand the bumps and bruises of the road over the Tab S3 which offers better performance.

The choice is yours. We hope that this list will help you find the perfect tablet for you.
